A grant from the Naturesave Trust has helped Bradbourne Bakery to cut right back on their carbon emissions. The grant enabled the small business to invest in an electric cargo bike which she uses to deliver loaves to the residents of Sevenoaks.
Brandbourne Bakery’s Annabel Carter said: “It’s always been important to me to build a responsible business and the beauty of baking to order is that there is never any waste. I have been looking for a greener way to deliver for a long time, and thanks to the support of two amazing funders, I have this three-wheeled solution!
Last year I was awarded two grants from the Naturesave Trust and LoCASE, and have been able to turn my daydreams into a reality. My friend Judge Bread designed the beautiful branding and London Green Cycles built this beautiful Christiania cargo bike for me, cheerfully answering my billion questions since last April.”.
Bradbourne Bakery was then shortlisted for 2022’s Small Awards, a scheme that recognises small businesses that put sustainability at the heart of their mission.
