A grant from the Naturesave Trust has enabled Humans MCR to fund IT equipment that will enable them to respond to clients and signpost them to the project.
Humans MRC analyses and responds to the root causes of generational food poverty, and works to give respect, health, dignity and hope to communities affected by it.
Their mission is to change lives in the communities that they serve by providing access to food and education to build a healthy, hunger-free future. They envision communities in which everyone has access to sufficient, nutritious food.
Humans MCR received funding from Naturesave towards their Community Grocers on-wheels project. The grant was used to fund IT equipment which enables them to respond to clients immediately and signpost them to the project. It also ensures that the organisation can uphold their ‘Humans Goes Green’ ethos of reducing needless paper waste.
The Grocers project uses food otherwise destined for landfill to give clients access to good quality, fresh food at a fraction of the supermarket price, delivered to their door each week. Anyone who would like more information on the service, or to make a referral, can get in touch by email on info@humansmcr.org.
Humans MCR is a charity that seeks to give respect, health, dignity and hope via a suite of short and long-term solutions that tackle food insecurity and food poverty faced by residents in Greater Manchester. You can learn more about their work here.
