Assistant Office Administrator - full time


We are currently seeking a new member of staff to join our team in our busy, rapidly expanding Totnes office.

Duties will include:
-  taking telephone enquiries and messages
-  quoting new business and issuing the relevant documentation (after
   adequate training)
-  producing new insurances policies and schedules, renewal schedules and renewal
   information and mid-term adjustments
-  assisting with credit control
-  accounting entries and assistance with accounts as required
-  assisting with administration of personal lines claims
-  assisting with work for account handlers as and when required
-  maintaining client database
-  franking mail and sorting post
-  filing and typing
                                         -  maintaining diary and in-tray and monitoring stocks of stationery

As with any small company, an ability to adapt to changing circumstances is essential, and you may be called upon to undertake other tasks as and when they are necessary.  Training will be provided in all office administration and insurance duties, but you should have a working knowledge of MS Word and Excel, good communications skills, an excellent telephone manner and, most importantly, the ability to work well within a team.

Salary: £12,000 - £15,000 depending on experience.
